This month I took some cool photos and I want share some of them. This time I publish a Christmas Tree that me and girlfriend bought more than a week ago. We already had Christmas in Székesfehérvár because of visiting our family at 25th and 26th of December. So we gave gifts each other on this Tuesday. And we already had decorated the pine tree. Now you can see the result, too. :)

Do you know where is the horizon? I made this photo at the last trip in the Buda Hills (watch last blog entry). There has been so heavy air pollution in Budapest that we haven't seen clear sky since end of October.  You still can't see those famous buildings of the city from the top of the hills.

November 09, 2011

I went for a trip with my friends last Saturday and I made this photo while we have climbed Buda Hills. The weather was a bit cold but the poeple could see beautiful leaves on the trees. And it is less than 10 kilometres far from the downtown of Budapest.
P.S.: my camera was a bit broken, the card cover couldn't close anymore. I had to bring it to service desk and they've repaired about two and half weeks. Many thanks for Olympus Hungary Team! Without them, now I couldn't take any photo anymore.

This is Lake Velence, situated not far from Székesfehérvár where I work. I wanted to take some photo at sunset. Because there was hot in the weekend (30 to 33 °C at noon), there was many people who swum and had some in the water. In the evening was the sunset beautiful, of course. But I didn't want to take kitsch photos that many of beginners could do. So, it's a solid but sweet sunset picture which I made for my blog.

This is the Old Town Hall in Bratislava, Slovakia. This building had been under maintainance for 3 years before we visited it. Now the walls were renovated - inside and outside, too. That's why I had to make some photos this July about this building.

August 25, 2011

The summer is still hot in Hungary but the Folk Dance Festival is over. Each year - since 1996 - you can see very exciting shows in the city center of Székesféhervár (where I work). This blurred impression is very sweet to me because you can create photos with less sharpness. But some detail is still sharp otherwise you don't know what do they do.

August 12, 2011

This horse (and their friends) can be found in a farm, in Cegléd, not far from my birthplace. The farms are getting popular again around the town. So, I could take very beautiful domestic animal photos in 2010, before this June. I only took my telephoto lens there (40-150 mm ,   f/4-5.6) and I really didn't need to use my flash gun all day. That was an easy exercise to me.

August 07, 2011

Hello Mr. Camel! I made that portait about this funny animal yesterday when I was in the zoo in Veszprém. with my girlfriend. There was very good weather in the town and we visited the interesting animals. I also wanted create nice pictures, some of them became great like this one. I spent more than four hours with one little pause.

July 26, 2011

When summer comes, the thunder is coming more times. This is great time to shoot in the evening flash of lightning. I made this picture with a tripod, 15 seconds shutter time and f/11. This time the ISO amount was 100 because the photo would be too noisy.

July 24, 2011

This is Castle Devin or Dévény in Slovakia (still the trip in Brno :). Halfway we visited this castle where it' used to be the border of Austrian Empire and Hungarian Kingdom. Now it's border of Slovakia and Austria. The ruins are now being a museum, you can visit it on a 80 meters high hill from April to November. It is only 13 km far from Bratislava, the historical center of capital of Slovakia.

Last weekend I visited Brno in Czech Republic. Unfortunetaly, I had a little time to visit the city center. I saw the most important building like this one: Saint Peter and Paul's Cathedral. in the Petrov Street. Because it's a well-known building I create a photo from a more interesting view. A polarization filter was a must - as you can see I had a very good weather there - fortunetaly.

Magdi Rúzsa is a famous Hungarian singer who became the winner at Megasztár 3 in 2006 and 9th at Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. The photo I made in my birthtown Cegléd one and half week ago. The live show was great and I like those songs who she sings (the English ones, too :)  I made this photo in the crowd, of course, I had no photo pass. Fortunetaly, I could use my flash gun and high ISO also was my friend.

June 18, 2011

This cafe is located in Székesfehérvár and it calls Műhely Kávéház (Workshop Cafe). I was at an opening of an exhibition that made by those classmates from the college where I studied before. It was early december that's why you can see many coats there. I used no flash, but I used high ISO. The amount was 800. In the original size of the photo you could see much noisy parts - no one wonders about it, even I hadn't used tripod there.

June 14, 2011

After some weeks break I uploaded a photo from last summer. This electric cable is not far where my girlfriend originally lived. After the sunset you can make interesting photos about the landscape but you can see the bulidings' shape, too (the shape, not detailed parts!). This photo became a bit bevelled but I like the mood.

June 07, 2011

This is Károlyi Mansion in Fehérvárcsurgó. It's about 20 km far from where I live. The mansion is getting more and more beautiful because there is a recovery of the building. You may visit the whole building in two years - now you can visit the left wing of the mansion. Fortunetaly, it was a 'hot' and sunny Saturday in middle of November because here is unusual that the temperature reaches 20 °C/68 °F. But the weather was very pretty :)

When you shoot a dance group, the fast exposure should be needed. Many times you can't move so fast to make brilliant photo. That's why you can leave it behind and use 1/160 sec of speed. They move and blurred a bit but you can correct easily Adobe Lightroom. Some vignette was also needed ;)

May 21, 2011

I made this photo in Fezen Klub, Szekesfehervar. It was the last show because they are moving into another (bigger) building. Many people made photos there I also didn't leave my camera at home. I could make some interesting photo like this one. I didn't use my flash gun here that's why the ISO is 1600. That was the highest ISO amount in this camera and you can see much 'grits' and 'dots' there.

This sweet dog is a Shar Pei from Mór, Hungary. I visited an exhibition in that town where I met him. It was a 'must-have' photo. I used my new Metz 44 AF-1 flash gun, too. This was the best picture that I could take about the dog.

May 08, 2011

This is Lamberg Mansion in Mór, Hungary at wintertime. I made this photo only one week before of Christmas Eve. It was long exposition time: 8 seconds. I used a tripod, of course. At that time there was no snow in Székesfehérvár (where I live and work). Because the photo became a bit reddish, I had to change color balance in Photoshop and the snow became whiter.

May 05, 2011

Hot summer, bright sun and a beauty castle. There is a sweet place where many people wants to visit in Szekesfehervar - this is Bory Castle. It's built in the 20th century and made by beton - but it's a beauty neo-renassaince castle. You can visit many sculpts and paintings who made by Jenő Bory - the same man built the castle, too.

May 04, 2011

The icy water makes interesting things in a lake. There was a cutten reed and around them were frozen. It was late winter, the wheater was cold but it was worth to make this photo.

May 03, 2011

I took the photo about this goat in the last Christmas Market in Székesfehérvár. The animals were very cute that's why it was easy to create pics. I used built-in flash and you can see some flare in the upper right edge of the picture. Despite the fact I hope you can enjoy this sweet photo :)

April 30, 2011

This boy played on a flute on Easter Monday. Meanwhile he was played on that musical intstrument I took some photos about him. The original photo was in colors but I made some vignette in Lightroom, turned into B/W and I used Gradient Map to have sepia in Photoshop. The atmosphere became better and bit more intimate.

April 28, 2011

These blue flowers are still living in a park in Cegléd. I like these flowers at springtime because the nature turns in green (and many other colors). It was quite good wheater I had to go out and take some photos. The original picture was in RAW format and it was a bit grey-layered and I used Adobe Lightroom to remove the 'bad colors'. I put some vignette in the edges and the favorable photo is well done.

April 27, 2011

This little girl was at about 2 weeks ago at St. George Week Festival in Mór. There was a childern's program live on stage. The children enjoyed that show and I could shoot similar like this one. I hope the parents won't angry with me to make delete this picture ;)

April 25, 2011

This is my first sunset photo that I made about one month ago. I almost late it, I had only 1 minute to set up the tripod that's why I used an automated sunset mode in my camera.

April 21, 2011

This sculpt is also can be found in Szekesfehervar. This calls "Aunt Kathy, the old huckster". Because the marketplace (not the Apple or Android one) isn't too far and the sculpt is in the town center, many people can see her. People touch her noise to have a luck in their personal life. Last May, she got some beauty flowers that made flower shop women/girls. Many sculpts got similar flowers there.

April 19, 2011

I made this photo September 2010. The aperture of kit lens cannot be used under 4 that's why I had to use Photoshop CS2 here. Two times using of lens blur on the background and once at the old woman. I used some warming filter effect, too. I hope the picture is still enjoyable :)
This is the town where I work and live since late 2007. Last year, there was Chistmas Market in the town center. You can find a small market here. One evening I took some photos with my Velbon CX-444 tripod before the market closed. As you can see some stand were already closed but the people stayed there because of drinking some mulled wine. It was very tasty!

This is the Minorita Church in Eger, Hungary. I made it in September 2010. Eger is a typical and  has the most beautiful baroque town center in the country. Here I learnt 7 years after secondary school that's why this is my favorite town. You can find many beauty bulidings there and this can be found at the central square.

A campfire on Museums' Night in July 19, 2010. I made it at Lamberg Mansion in Mór. It was after midnight when the program was ended. The time was 1/3 second and I didn't use any tripod ;) The photo hadn't blurred, I tried to hold my camera in my hands hard. Some Photoshop work that I used: a bit darker background and some red filter.

Here is a photo that I made in Cracow, Poland. I made it in July, 2010. This is Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Church in the historical city center. It's a typical tourist pic, the angle is wide (too wide: 14 mm - on FourThirds 28 mm) that's why it has a medium distorsion and chromatic abberation in the edges. Unfortunetaly, here's a small street in front of the church. But fortunetaly, when you visit Cracow, you'll find more "beauty jewels" in the heart of the city ;)

Welcome to my blog. Here you can view some interesting photos that I made.
I am not a professional photo maker, but I love to create pictures. I make photos since 1997. I created my own pictures for first with my Olympus OM-1. It's a great 35mm SLR camera. The original model made in 1972. I loved to use that camera :)
Last year I bought an Olympus E-420 "combo package". They gave me a camera, a 14-42 mm lens, a 40-150 mm lens, and some great accessories. Since then I bought a bag, a polarizing filter, a Velbon CX-444 tripod, and a Metz 44 AF-1 flash gun.
I upload some pictures here and you can comment if you like (or don't like) them. Let's see what I can do with my camera :)
